Performances
Starmakers - Aladdin
Starmakers returned to the New Hall for their annual production. This year, they performed Aladdin to packed audiences. The children were all amazing and had great fun working in a real theatre with dressing rooms, lights, microphones and lots of entrances and exits to remember.
Ahoy! Performance
Sycamore had an amazing time performing Ahoy! by Alexander L'Estrange at Blundell's School. Over 200 children sang together accompanied by a live band. The concert was completely sold out and everyone agreed it was a fabulous evening for both the children and the audience.
Ahoy! Workshop with Alexander L'Estrange
Sycamore class enjoyed their singing workshop with Alexander L'Estrange, the composer of Ahoy!
They are looking forward to performing with children from eight other local schools in February.
Staff and Governors' Choir Debut Performance
Our newly formed choir of staff and governors have been rehearsing together since October. The choir, called 'Tickled Pink', had their debut performance at the St James' Epiphany Concert. Despite the nerves they sang brilliantly and all enjoyed the experience. Sadly, illness meant Fr Kristian was unable to sing with us so we were grateful to Ben for stepping in to sing the bass line alongside Mr Fitton.
Keystage Two Carol Service
Our annual Keystage Two Carol Service took place at St Paul's Church. It was wonderful to have our recorder ensemble and other instrumentalists accompanying some of the carols. Every class sang beautifully and the whole keystage songs were full of joy. The church was full making it a great celebration of Christmas.
Keystage One and Foundation Stage Nativity
Keystage One and Foundation Stage performed their Nativity play to families and friends. The children acted, danced and sang beautifully and the Year 2 children accompanied one of the songs with their xylophones.
Starmakers on Tour - Christmas 2022
Our Starmakers had a busy time in December. They joined the congregation at Tiverton Baptist Church for a community carol service, visited John Greenway Almshouses to entertain the residents and spent a chilly morning at Tiverton Pannier Market singing for Christmas shoppers.
Olivia July 2022
After three years, it was fantastic to take Starmakers back to the New Hall in Tiverton to perform Olivia. For nearly all the children this was there first time performing on a big stage, with microphones and lighting. They had an amazing time and managed multiple costume changes brilliantly. A huge thank you to all the families who supported this production and to our wonderful audiences.
Acorns Graduation
As part of Little Acorns graduation, Big Acorns sang 'There are lots of Pretty Trees', 'Elmer' and a special song written by Mrs Hewson.
Starmakers Singing in the Market
On their way to rehearse at the New Hall, Starmakers stopped off to entertain shoppers in Tiverton's Pannier Market.
St James' Church Summer Fayre
Starmakers and St John's Recorder Ensemble provided entertainment at St James' Church Summer Fayre.
Jubilee Concert June 2022
Our wonderful instrumentalists entertained family and friends at our Jubilee Concert. The concert included recorder, piano and saxophone solos as well as a fabulous performance by our recorder ensemble and an outstanding rendition of the National Anthem by our newly formed trombone club. Foundation Stage also took to the stage singing several jubilee songs.
Carol Service 2021
Although our virtual carol service was lovely last year, it was wonderful to be back in St Paul's Church to celebrate together. The children sang beautifully and our recorder players accompanied the carols superbly.
Peter Pan July 2021
Due to covid restrictions, Starmakers' performance of Peter Pan had to take place outside, with the staging arranged in year group bubbles. The children rose to the challenge brilliantly and the wonderful weather meant that all performances were well attended and enjoyed by all.
