Remembering the life and legacy of Queen Elizabeth ||
Fri 09 Sep 2022St John's School joins the rest of the country and the commonwealth in mourning the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
Today, we held a whole school reflection where we remembered the Queen and her family in our prayers, whilst celebrating her wonderful life and legacy.
We shall also be having a book of remembrance available for the school community to write in. We invite you to come into school over the next few days to add your thoughts and reflections.
The book will be in the reception area which you can access through the main entrance to the school.
Earlier this week, we received a special letter from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth thanking the children for all of the artwork, letters and cards the school forwarded to her on the celebration of her Platinum Jubilee. Today, we shared this letter with the children and each class has added a copy to the their prayer spaces.

Information for Parents about Coronavirus (Covid-19)
Wed 04 Mar 2020In response to the Coronavirus spread and talk of school closures in the press, we have attached some information given to the school by the Department for Education (DfE) and our trust (CAST).
Mrs James has spoken to the children in assemblies and class this week to remind them about cleanliness and the importance of washing their hands properly.
We do have anti bacterial hand cleanse in each class and 'wash your hands' posters in all of the toilets.
In support of wellbeing and to reduce the risk of the spread of any infection, we have emailed home a DfE poster for information and to inform discussion at home with children.
The DfE have also introduced a new dedicated helpline for staff, parents and children:
Phone: 0800 046 8687
Email: DfE.coronavirushelpline@education.gov.uk
Opening hours: 8am to 6pm (Monday to Friday)DfE say that no school should close in response to a suspected (or confirmed) COVID-19 case unless advised to do so by Public Health England.
